One of Africa’s Greatest Footballers of all-time Albert Roger Milla turns 71 today.
Known by many for his iconic dance celebration he does after scoring, Roger Milla achieved alot through out his career.
He scored four goals for the Cameroon team that reached the Quarter finals of the Italia 1990 FIFA World Cup before loosing to England 3-2 after Extra time. He became the oldest goalscorer in FIFA World Cup history that year, before eventually breaking his own record in the 1994 edition of the tournament when he scored for Cameroon against Russia.
He is the second all-time African top scorer in FIFA World Cup history with five goals, with only Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan having more(7). Roger Milla also holds the record as the African footballer with most career goals with 448 Goals to his name.
Roger Milla won the African Player of the Year award twice, won the African Nations Cup twice and also finished top scorer and Best Player in two editions of the tournament.
