Cameroon to be without two of their star strikers for their first leg qualifiers against Namibia this month.
Cameroon will be without Vincent Aboubakar and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for their AFCON qualifiers against Namibia on March 24th.
Vincent Aboubakar will miss the first leg due to the Red card he received in Cameroon’s last group match in the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Brazil but will he available for selection.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been sidelined due to injury he picked during Bayern Munich’s clash with PSG in the Champions League two weeks ago. The 33 year old is currently suffering from a back pain which has kept him out of Bayern Munich’s two previous fixtures. The return date for the striker is not yet certain but it’s clear he will miss Cameroon national team double header against Namibia this month.
Head coach Rigobert Song has not announced a replacement for the striker yet.
